Respite Services

Respite is designed to offer occasional relief to family caregivers by providing short-term, non-medical care of family members with developmental disabilities in their own homes and in the community. All services are based on a sliding scale fee of $2.50 to $10.00 per hour. CAP and other billing options may also utilized when providing this service.

In Home Respite- Trained care providers come to the family's home for periods of two hours up to a few overnights. Fees are based on client level of need. Care for siblings is included in this service when CAP is not utilized as the primary billing source.

Hours of Service

Services may be requested 24 hours a day, every day of the year except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Families may use up to 350 Hours of service per year at their sliding scale rate.

An Application for Services must be received by the Respite Care Director prior to services being offered. Please fill out the application and return it or fax (919-489-3434) to our main office.
