Information/Education/ReferralOn both the state and local levels, The Arc of North Carolina and its chapters provide continued public information on specific topics. Media attention, workshops, and special events focus on topics such as inclusion and prevention, as well as vocational, residential and recreational opportunities. Information and referral to services are available on the state and local levels as well. The best place to start for information specific to your local community is with a local chapter of The Arc (find your local chapter here). If you are unable to locate a chapter in your area or for further information contact: Dave Richard, Executive Director: drichard@arcnc.org The Arc of the United States Provides information about a wide variety of disabilities and disability issues. Some of the topics include aging and mental retardation, family support, criminal justice, self-determination, employment, and The Americans with Disabiliities Act.
