Office Manager - HOUSING

Position Status: Full-time

Location: Greensboro, N.C.

Education Requirements: Associate degree or higher is preferred; 2+ years’ experience working in an office setting and human service area.

Experience Requirements: Candidate must have professional administrative experience, preferably in the human service field. Candidate must be a motivated team player, flexible, hardworking, and organized, as well as have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Candidates must be able to multi-task, prioritize their work, and be able to complete complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision and maintain a high level of professionalism. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), as well as in the use of general office equipment.

Responsibilities: The Arc of NC is currently seeking a highly organized, self-starter to fill the position of Office Manager. This position will play an integral role in ensuring proper flow of office procedures and protocol. Oversee and support all administrative duties in the office and ensure that office is operating smoothly. Develop office policies and procedures and ensure they are implemented appropriately. Must be accountable for creating the initial incoming telephone calls, managing correspondence by answering emails, prepare outgoing mail and sorting incoming mail, manage the scheduling of conference room areas, process and prepare documents such as business letters, forms and/or reports. Function as liaison between supervisors and other internal staff and departments. As well as other assigned tasks.

Maintenance Technician Lead - HOUSING

Position Status: Full-Time

Location: Statewide

Education Requirements: High School Diploma with two years of maintenance experience. General skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and preventive maintenance and or certificate in HVAC.

Experience Requirements: Candidate must have experience in conducting home inspections, construction and home maintenance, Microsoft Office applications and databases, preferably in a professional office environment.

Prefer having experience working with people with disabilities. Must be able to sustain a large amount of travel, including overnights, and schedule and manage large amounts of information successfully. Organizational and planning skills with an ability to effectively prioritize work tasks is a must.

Responsibilities: The Maintenance Technician Lead will provide general directions and leadership to the Maintenance Technician team relating to the repair and maintenance of properties and grounds. Effectively plan and organize work and complete tasks within prescribed timeframes. Together with the team will perform routine inspections and maintenance of designated housing properties. Responsible for maintaining company vehicle inspections and maintenance. Will work closely with management and Property Inspectors to resolve property issues as they arise. Collaborate and present recommendations to the Director of Housing on short and long-term general maintenance objectives and procedures.

Property Management Lead - HOUSING

Position Status: Full-Time

Location: Statewide

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year accredited college or university from a community college or professional training school or program in the fields of real estate including real estate brokerage, property management, and real estate development and construction or rehab. Experience working with Microsoft software and other software systems, preferably in a professional office environment. Ability to develop methods of managing large amounts of information successfully and efficiently. Organizational and planning skills with an ability to effectively prioritize work tasks are a must.

Experience Requirements: We prefer a candidate who has some experience in the service delivery field. The candidate must have a high degree of professionalism and an ability to work with team members and others to address problems and achieve solutions. Accounting and other skills working with property financials and other financial data will be highly desirable.

Responsibilities: The Property Manager Lead with serve as lead for inspections, maintenance, and property management. Required to develop and maintain streamlined and profitable service deliveries using all available resources. Develop and manage several tasks including the preparation and submission of the appropriate paperwork to obtain fund releases from HUD and other partners for replacement items and capital improvements to our real estate assets. Make decisions regarding capital expenditures and other costs associated with the management of the group home and apartment projects owned by The Arc. Collaborate and present recommendations to the Director of Housing on short and long-term general property management objectives and procedures.

Care Manager - Salisbury

The Care Manager provides comprehensive care management to ensure integrated, whole person care for the individuals we serve. The Care Manager must be highly organized and possess excellent leadership skills. This position interfaces with many local and state-wide partners and requires the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with a number of Tailored Plans and professional disciplines, such as psychiatry, psychology, medicine, social work, and occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, teaching, and direct support professionals for the benefit of the individuals being supported. The Care Manager must use professional judgment in conducting in-depth individual assessments and providing supportive counseling and guidance. The Care Manager will serve as the primary advocate for the person within the service system(s) and the community.

Reports To: This position will be under the direct supervision of the Senior Care Manager

FLSA Status: Full-time, Exempt

Minimum Requirements:

· Care Managers serving members with I/DD or TBI must qualify as a Qualified Professional (QP) in North Carolina and have one of the following minimum qualifications:

· A bachelor’s degree in a field related to health, psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, or another relevant human services area, or licensure as a registered nurse (RN); and

· Two years of experience working directly with individuals with IDD, TBI and/or dual diagnoses of IDD and MI; and

· For care managers serving members with long-term support needs: two years of prior long-term support and/or Home and Community-based Services coordination, care delivery monitoring, and care management experience, in addition to the requirements cited above. (This experience may be concurrent with the two years of experience working directly with individuals with IDD, TBI, or dual diagnoses outlined above.)

Must possess a strong working knowledge of the service delivery system and funding streams, good communication skills - verbal and written and proficient with computers and EHR. Must have a valid NC driver’s license and current automobile liability insurance.

Director of Housing

Position Status: Full- Time

Location: Based in Greensboro (Travel between Greensboro and Raleigh)

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in management and supervising employees, with progressively responsible experience. Knowledge of federal, state, and local housing programs and development and operation of HUD- funded programs.

Overview: Are you a strategic leader with a passion for housing development and a commitment to serving individuals with high intellectual and developmental disabilities? If so, The Arc of North Carolina is seeking an experienced Director of Housing to oversee and expand our housing initiatives. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership skills, program development expertise, ability to manage relationships effectively within the community, ensure compliance with HUD regulations, manage housing development projects, and supervise a resolute team.

The candidate will oversee all aspects of The Arc of North Carolina’s housing program. The candidate will supervise and guide all departmental leads to meet program goals, collaborate with HUD and other stakeholders to maintain compliance with all regulations, and manage project budgets and financial accountability and sustainability. Must cultivate relationships with stakeholders, including community partners, families, and funding agencies to enhance service delivery. Most importantly, be responsible for planning to ensure The Arc of NC’s response to the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental is clear and effective. This may include the development of more HUD-funded properties or other privately financed options. Last, but not least must bring all proposals to the Executive Director, The Arc of NC Board and The Arc Housing Board as appropriate.

Direct Support Associate

Position Status: Part - Time

Location: Mebane, NC

Education Requirements: Candidate must have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

The Arc of NC is seeking a highly skilled professional willing to work part time providing services to a young woman in the Richmond County area. Applicant should be highly motivated, compassionate, and experienced in providing personal care due to the physical limitations of the individual. Applicant should also be able to problem solve and think on their feet. The ideal candidate will be extremely reliable, creative, and have excellent critical thinking skills. Experience working with people with disabilities is a plus. Candidate must have GED or high school diploma, pass all background checks, and have a valid driver’s license.

Starting pay rate is between $15.00 to $17.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities: A Support Associate will work directly with and support individual’s with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities with the desired outcome of assisting the individual in becoming integrated into his/her community and maintaining the least restrictive environment/lifestyle while providing support and assistance with learning or maintaining desired skills outlined in the Individual Service Plan. As a Support Associate, you will be expected to identify individual’s strengths, needs, and goals. Ensure the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document outcomes accurately and timely, in accordance to Medicaid guidelines.

Schedule:

· 4 hour shift

· 8 hour shift

· Monday to Friday

· Weekends as needed

Resource Advocate/Care Manager Extender for Tailored Care Management

The Resource Advocate serves as the Extender role in Tailored Care Management in North Carolina. The Resource Advocate assists in the coordination necessary to carry out integrated, whole person care for the individuals served, and assists with contacting people receiving care management or eligible for care management, gathering assessment and evaluation information for each person, coordinating appointments and transportation, and providing information, education and needed resource connections. The Resource Advocate must be highly organized and possess excellent communication skills and be an advocate for the person within the service system(s) and the community. Looking for a bilingual/Spanish speaking applicant but not preferred.

Reports To: This position will be under the direct supervision of the Care Manager.

FLSA Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Salary Range:  $33k - $38K

Minimum Requirements:

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has a high school diploma or GED. And meets one of the below requirements:
  • Be a person with lived experience with an I/DD or a TBI with demonstrated knowledge of and direct personal experience navigating the North Carolina Medicaid delivery system.
  • Or a person with lived experience with a behavioral health condition who is a Certified Peer Support Specialist.
  • Or a parent or guardian of an individual with an I/DD or a TBI or a behavioral health condition and has at least two years of direct experience providing care for and navigating the Medicaid delivery system on behalf of that individual (parent/guardian cannot serve as an extender for their family member).
  • Has two years of paid experience performing the types of functions described above, with at least one year of paid experience working directly with the IDD population.
