West Region Employment Opportunities

Supports Manager

Position Status: Full- Time

Location: Asheville

Education Requirements: Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of full-time experience post-baccalaureate in the field of developmental disabilities, and must meet the qualifications a Qualified Professional.

Experience Requirements: Candidate must be a motivated team player, flexible, creative, hardworking, and organized, as well as have excellent problem solving and communications skills. Candidate must also have solid computer skills and should possess a thorough knowledge of person-centered thinking and state and federal regulations.

The Arc of NC is seeking a full-time Supports Manager to support to individuals/families with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Asheville area.

Responsibilities: The Supports Manager will assist individuals/families with the hiring, managing, training, and evaluating of staff. The Supports Manager will also provide clinical supervision for staff and monitor individual authorized services. Maintain communications with all invested parties. Develop short range outcomes and non-Medicaid plans and complete quarterly summary reviews. Some travel is required.

Support Associate (Direct Care Staff)

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities: Providing breaks for caregivers, assistance with personal care, teaching skills to increase independence, promoting inclusion in the community. Related experience in direct care or special education is preferred but not required. Creativity, progressive thinking, strong advocacy skills, and knowledge of community resources are highly desirable. Qualified applicants must be 18 or older, current driver's license, and pass background checks.
