Senior Care Manager
The Senior Care Manager provides direct support and supervision for Care Managers and team members, and oversight for comprehensive care management to ensure integrated, whole person care for the individuals served. The Senior Care Manager must be highly organized and possess excellent oral and written communication and leadership skills. This position interfaces with many local and state-wide partners and requires the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with a number of external entities and professional disciplines, such as psychiatry, psychology, medicine, social work, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, teaching, and direct support professionals for the benefit of the individuals supported. The Senior Care Manager must use professional judgment in conducting assessments of work performance and services provided and providing supportive guidance and mentoring for care management staff. The Senior Care Manager must be able to advocate on behalf of the individual in an assertive manner.
Reports To: This position will be under the direct supervision of the Regional Director
FLSA Status: Full-time, Exempt
Salary Range: $55k – $60K
Minimum Requirements:
Senior Care Managers serving members with I/DD or TBI must qualify as a Qualified Professional (QP) in North Carolina and have one of the following minimum qualifications:
- Master’s Degree highly preferred. A bachelor’s degree required in a field related to health, psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, or another relevant human services area, and:
- Five years of experience providing care management, case management, or care coordination to complex individuals with I/DD or TBI.
or
- A master’s degree in a field related to health, psychology, sociology, social work (e.g., LCSW), nursing, or other relevant human services area, or licensure as an RN, and:
- Three years of experience providing care management, case management, or care coordination to complex individuals with an I/DD or a TBI.
Must possess a strong working knowledge of the state and federal service delivery system and funding streams, good communication skills - verbal and written and be proficient with computers and EHR. Must have a valid NC driver’s license and current automobile liability insurance.
Employment Specialist

The Arc of NC seeks a passionate, dedicated, and reliable Employment Specialist to assist adults with disabilities to gain and maintain meaningful employment in the community, meaningful competitive pay, and permanent/year-round employment.
Education Requirements: Candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, must be able to pass the background check, prefer experience working with people with developmental/intellectual disabilities in health-related or education fields and knowledge of community resources.
Responsibilities: The Employment Specialist will provide employment opportunities for people with developmental disabilities through community-based evaluation and assessment of an individual’s abilities and needs, prescriptive job development, job placement, job coaching, and follow-up. Work in varied home, business, and community environments based on the assigned support list. Demonstrate the ability to take the initiative to make decisions/choices without direct supervision. Communicate regularly with employees receiving employment services and their employers to ensure job satisfaction and optimal job performance.
Experience Requirements: Applicant must be able to work independently, and work a flexible schedule, nights, weekends, and holidays sometimes. Must be able to drive a vehicle for short to long periods of time during a workday. Must be able to maintain close attention to details to render complete and accurate reports and records for use by others on a regular basis.

Creativity, progressive thinking, strong advocacy skills, and knowledge of community resources are highly desirable. Qualified applicants must be 18 or older, current driver's license, and pass background checks.
