The Arc of North Carolina Appoints Lisa Poteat as Chief Executive Officer

The Arc of North Carolina is delighted to announce Lisa Poteat as the new Chief Executive Officer effective June 1, 2025. Lisa brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and has worked in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities for forty years. She has been serving as the Interim Executive Director of The Arc of North Carolina since August of 2024.  

"I am honored to have the opportunity to lead this great organization and continue to build on the 70+ years of our shared legacy, driven by so many families and advocates who came before us, and I am excited to work with our amazing leadership team to continue to help create a better future for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families,” said Lisa.  

Lisa’s expertise and strategic vision will strengthen The Arc of North Carolina’s ongoing progress, ensuring we continue to grow as a strong, effective, and mission-driven organization.
